The Wedding of Emily & Michael - Doxford Hall - Northumberland

Emily & Michael couldn't have chosen a better location for their wedding, Doxford hall is a fabulous venue for any event especially a wedding and what great weather we had too!!

I arrived at 9.30am to shoot the bridal preparations. Fueled with plenty of coffee from Em's mum Christine I started my day with the dress, shoes & finer details. Soon after Amy, Eleanor & Jayne (the bridesmaids) arrived. While the girls were having their hair done I went off to find Michael & Mark (the bestman).

The ceremony was beautiful & when they both read out their vows I would imagine the entirety of the wedding party had a tear as I certainly did. The drinks reception was on the lawn in the walled gardens to the back of the Hall. Andrew Taylor the solo saxophonist played while the guests congratulated Emily & Michael.

Doxford Hall is full of places for great photo opportunities both inside & out & we took full advantage of this throughout the day.

Emily & Michael jetted off the following day to New York & then Vegas for their honeymoon & have promised if they win big in Vegas they will fly me out for their Trash the Dress shoot (fingers crossed you guys win then)!!!

Ange & Andy's Pre Wedding Shoot - Moor Park Mansion - Rickmansworth - London

We met at the venue for Ange & Andy's wedding & WOW what a venue!!! Moor Park mansion domiates acres of beautiful countryside in Rickmansworth. With outstanding huge corinthian columns & exceptional ornate fine art wrapping around the walls & ceilings, Moor Park Mansion really is an exquisite venue!!

Ange & Andy met over 2 years ago. Andy an ex-para was drawn to Ange when he was overseeing the I.T department move & well the rest is history!

The weather that day had to be the freakiest weather, one minute it was blue sky & sun & the next thick stormy clouds & heavy rain with thunder & lightening. I read in the following days paper, that day London had 3 months of rain fall in an afternoon.

I had a chat with Ange about the dress which sounds fabulous & I can't wait to see it! Ange has a great look & in the dress she described to me, she'll look out of this world!!

I look forward to meeting again at the end of this month for their wedding. Here are some of the images taken on their pre shoot.

Helen & Mark's Post Wedding Photo Shoot

Here are just a few of my favourite's from Helen & Mark's Post Wedding shoot. We had a mini heat wave & the weather was great, which made a nice change from the weather on their wedding day. We had quite an audience at one point but that didn't seem to bother them too much. Thanks guys you were fab!!!

Janie & John's Wedding - The Grand Hotel Tynemouth

The couple were married at St Mary's in Whitley Bay & then on to The Grand Hotel in Tynemouth for their reception. I joined Janie & John at their church rehearsal the eve before the wedding only to find the vicar didn't allow any photography during the ceremony which she seemed stuck on even when I suggested shooting from the back of the church. I sat at the back throughout the service & now & again had to keep checking my exposures for after the service, I just so happened to get a ton of ceremony shots while doing so, OOPS!!! ;-)

Janie & John are both keen walkers as I found out on our pre wedding shoot when their chosen location was Roseberry Topping in Cleveland. I got to know them both quite well on the pre shoot & found them both to be a really nice, kind & caring couple, so much so they'd requested their guests to give what money they would have spent on wedding gifts to a local charity chosen by Janie & John.

Unfortunately the weather was thick fog on the day of their wedding, but this didn't stop us having some time on the beach & at St Mary's lighthouse for some photos.
