Emily & Michael's Post shoot

Emily has dreamt of having the perfect wedding since being a little girl & that she certainly did have up at Doxford Hall in July. Although we got some stunning images of her & Michael on their wedding day she opted for a post shoot to be taken at some striking locations where she has great childhood memories.

We travelled up past Alnwick into the hills, deep into Northumberlands beautiful countryside with spectacular views. The weather was fab although slightly windy.

We decided to stop for lunch & got some strange looks from some people as expected, it's not everyday you see a bride & groom walk into a cafe for a coffee & a snack, it was quite funny.

The Wedding of Emily & Michael - Doxford Hall - Northumberland

Emily & Michael couldn't have chosen a better location for their wedding, Doxford hall is a fabulous venue for any event especially a wedding and what great weather we had too!!

I arrived at 9.30am to shoot the bridal preparations. Fueled with plenty of coffee from Em's mum Christine I started my day with the dress, shoes & finer details. Soon after Amy, Eleanor & Jayne (the bridesmaids) arrived. While the girls were having their hair done I went off to find Michael & Mark (the bestman).

The ceremony was beautiful & when they both read out their vows I would imagine the entirety of the wedding party had a tear as I certainly did. The drinks reception was on the lawn in the walled gardens to the back of the Hall. Andrew Taylor the solo saxophonist played while the guests congratulated Emily & Michael.

Doxford Hall is full of places for great photo opportunities both inside & out & we took full advantage of this throughout the day.

Emily & Michael jetted off the following day to New York & then Vegas for their honeymoon & have promised if they win big in Vegas they will fly me out for their Trash the Dress shoot (fingers crossed you guys win then)!!!

Emily & Michael's Pre-Wedding shoot

Another red hot glorious day & in good company with Emily & Michael for their pre-wed shoot. We met up at the coffee house in Jesmond dene to have a chat & go through the wedding schedule. Emily & Michael will be getting married at Doxford Hall in Northumberland next month. Doxford Hall is a new venue & is a perfect location for a wedding, filled with natural light pouring through the sky lights & a huge light wood staircase, this gorgeous building has so many great places for photo opportunities!!! We headed through the dene then across to Newcastle quayside for some more pics & finished off at the coast with some crazy poses from the couple at St Mary's Lighthouse. I'm really looking forward to this wedding, both for the fabulous venue & a great couple!! Below are some of my favourite images from their shoot.
