Tammy & Davey - Trash the Dress!

I shot Tammy & Davey's wedding back in June, the post shoot had been booked for August, however we certainly didnt get great weather in August & so it was postponed until September. Thankfully the weather was really good this time.

We headed out at teatime to get that nice golden glow & started at Seaton Sluice beach. I love this beach as it is usually very quiet, but due to the good weather it was quite busy with jet skis & people just out for the day. We then headed down to St Mary's to the rocks which is a particular favourite place of mine at the moment as I love the different textures of the rocks with the sea in the background, you could almost be anywhere!!

Tammy then mentioned she'd like to get in the water (obviously I was getting rather excited at this point & knew exactly what shots I wanted) so off to Tynemouth Longsands we went, we were starting to lose the light & by the time we arrived the beach was in shade so I had to use some fill in flash. The sun was setting fast behind St Georges church. Tammy & Davey walked into the sea to adjust to the temperature & then I got the shots I wanted :-) The beach was quite crowed with people watching but I think lying in the cold water was the only thing on Tammy's mind & she was oblivious to the onlookers.

Here are some of my favourites from their photo shoot.

Tammy & Davie's Wedding

We had poor weather all week but thankfully the sun came out for Tammy & Davie's wedding.
They were married at St James & St Basil which is a new church for me & what a beautiful church it is, with so much natural light pouring in through the stained glass windows.
After the ceremony we headed of to Eslington Villa where the reception was held. With some group pictures on the lawn & steps & a few reportage shots, the wedding party gathered before heading into the room ready for the speeches. I have never laughed so much, Steve, the Bestman & also Davie's brother had me creased, along with a lot of others.
After a fabulous day at Eslington Villa, the group reunited at the Royal Station Hotel in Newcastle for the evening reception.
Here are some of my favourites. I think you will all agree that Tammy looked absolutely stunning!!!!

Tammy & David's pre-wedding shoot

We met at the wedding venue Eslington Villa to go through the diary of events for the wedding day & to give me an opportunity to have a look around as this is a new venue for me. Eslington villa is a grand house sitting within beautiful rolling gardens in Lowfell. After plenty of coffee & a chat we headed off to Jesmond dene for the pre-wedding shoot. While walking through the dene & stopping now & again for photos David mentioned he knew of an area within Jesmond dene called "The Devil's Hole" & suggested it would be a good backdrop for photos. After searching the length of the dene we finally found this "Devil's Hole" which is probably better known as "The Grotto" maybe those of you that know it as "The Devil's Hole" are the 200 small ones that were packed in there like sardines along with a DJ, a generator & caterers many years ago! lol. There certainly wouldn't have been much space for dancing! We finished off with some shots further along in Jesmond vale with a bit of an audience & then a drink in The Blue Bell. Here are just some of the images from their pre-wedding shoot.
